This is a 10-15 minute assembly about the important issue of anti-social behaviour. It is suitable for a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and was originally used for a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10. It includes discussion activities which could be lengthened and written for a full lesson. The issues it covers are: What anti-social behaviour is & examples What are the consequences of anti-social behaviour Why it is important to report ASB How students can prevent it in the community How dropping litter is an anti-social act It includes two short video clips which are downloaded so will never disappear. The students reacted very positively to this session. It fits into the PSHE curriculum, Relationships and Health Curriculum, Keeping Children Safe in Education or a whole school SMSC and FBV assembly.

This is a 15 minute assembly about bipolar disorder which is suitable for tutor time, PSHE or a short whole school session to explore bipolar disorder. It explains what bipolar is, what the symptoms are and how to get support if needed. There are some video clips (downloaded so they will never disappear) and discussion activities but no written tasks. It is suitable for ages 11-18 (KS3, KS4 & KS5, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) to give an overview of this mental heath illness for students. It was originally used as a KS3 PSHE session in tutor time and students enjoyed learning about this important issue. It ends with a quick true or false quiz and has a slide of charities/helplines to support them if they need it. Students reacted very well to this session. This is a 15 minute assembly, PSHE, tutor time session which covers what terrorism is, what the opinions of young people are about terrorism and focuses on what to do in a terrorist attack. It mentions the Prevent Strategy and has discussion questions and no written tasks. This was originally taught to Year 10 (14-15 year olds) and students reacted well to this presentation. It gives them advice, further information and support and helplines if they need further guidance. This is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grade 6-12) but it should be noted that this content should be discussed sensitively with students. There are two downloaded video clips which will never disappear. This could be shortened or lengthened according to the session and it can be used for tutor time, assembly, PSHE, Citizenship or British Values lesson or an informative look at what students should do in a terrorist attack as a whole school message. Students reacted very well to this session and lots of interesting discussions came from it. This is a 15 minute assembly on Sexism and Gender Inequality. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10 but is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers what sexism is and whether it is still an issue in the UK. It includes three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear! It covers sexism in the workplace, what feminism is and some statistics about sexism in the UK. It has discussion activities and no written tasks. It could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson with longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and works towards addressing sexual harassment and inequality in society.

This is a weekly plan for PSHE in tutor time on a Thursday next year. It cover PSHE and Citizenship topics and also cover areas of Finance Education, Careers, Character Education, SMSC and FBV. Some of these sessions are available as PowerPoints from my shop. This is a planning document which you may find useful to adapt rather than starting from scratch. It could be used as an assembly or a standalone quick look at how to care for the elderly in the community. It contains two youtube clips downloaded so they will never disappear, some information and a class discussion question that pupils can think about for a plenary. It also includes a small section on child carers and the intergenerational care home idea from the news. It focuses on why we should help the elderly and can contribute to the new RSE and Health Curriculum as well as the existing PSHE and Citizenship, SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Values education.

This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time session about anxiety. It explores ways to help someone suffering with anxiety and how to deal with a panic attack. It incorporates two youtube clips and has a discussion focus. There are no written tasks to complete. This is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 to give them a quick overview of what anxiety is and how we can support people with mental health issues. This could be used as part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum or as part of a standalone session on mental health, PSHE or tutor time resource.

This is a selection of 25 lateral thinking tasks for discussion, debate, tutor time, PSHE or lessons. Students have really improved their discussion and lateral thinking skills as a result of these activities. They can be used to improve communication, debating, listening and thinking skills as part of the PSHE or Skills curriculum or part of a tutor time activity or assembly.

This is a 500 word Intent statement for the new RSE & Health Curriculum but can also be used for a more general PSHE and Citizenship statement. This can be included in handbooks, curriculum plans, school websites, parent consultations and school prospectus. All you have to do is add your School Name and it is good to go!

This powerpoint is designed to last 10-15 minutes as a presentation to be delivered in tutor time to any of KS3 or KS4 (Years 7-11, Ages 11-16). It allows students to understand why IWD is so important and introduces some of the issues that women face in today’s society as well as over history. This is suitable for Upper KS2-KS5 (Ages 10-18, Years 5-13) and can be used as an assembly or tutor time resource. It was originally a Year 7 tutor time PSHE session but is suitable for a wider audience.

It contains two downloaded videos so they will never disappear and includes a quick overview of the meaning of emotional literacy and how this can be developed. There is a final reflection question to debate as a class. This was originally a Year 8 tutor time PSHE session but can be used for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18) as a whole school presentation.

This is a 15 minute assembly about veganism. It includes definitions, discussion activities and information about the advantages of a vegan diet on the environment and our lives. It has a downloaded video which will never disappear and ends with a thinking task for pupils. It is suitable for KS4-KS5 (Ages 14-18, Years 10-13) and can be easily lengthened to be suitable for a whole lesson if needed. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum and the PSHE curriculum and was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 11.

This 15-20 minute presentation outlines some basic first aid for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It was originally used as a PSHE tutor time session. It is based on the BBC First Aid videos which only work in the UK and includes discussion questions and no written tasks. This follows the Basic First Aid part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum and teaches students how to complete CPR, deal with bleeding and shock and bone fractures.This could also be used as a whole school assembly to improve their health knowledge and PSHE provision. Students reacted very well to this session.

This lesson contains a review about smoking with a quiz and a competition. This was originally part of a PSHE day on smoking for Year 7 but can be used from KS2 - KS4 (Ages 7-16) as a standalone lesson or part of another lesson about smoking. It discusses questions about the law, addiction and chemicals and ends with a competition task for pupils to complete.

This PPoint outlines the news stories that have occured since schools in the UK broke up for the Summer (end of July & August 2021). It has a downloaded inspiring video about the Olympics and is an interactive PowerPoint which requires questioning and discussion of various issues including the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions. It also finishes with a true and false quiz to test their learning. This will be a session I share with my KS3, KS4 & KS5 (11-18) for their second PSHE tutor time session of the year (the first one being the introduction to PSHE which you can also find in my shop).
